Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
Are you a Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and process optimisation? Our client is seeking a proactive engineer to support production by improving assembly processes, increasing efficiency and driving operational excellence across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions and visual factory documentation.
Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and 6S projects.
Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, shadow boards and shop floor layouts to improve productivity and workflow.
Maintain production routings within SAP and support Engineering Change Requests (ECR/ECN).
Create KPIs, visual management boards and production performance reporting.
Conduct root cause analysis using A3 problem-solving techniques.
Produce CAD layouts and technical drawings to optimise factory flow and assembly operations.
Support FMEA, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and process validation activities.
About You
Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques.
Experience using Solid Works or AutoCAD (2D AutoCAD desirable).
SAP experience, including production routings and data management.
Confident using Microsoft Office with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organised, detail-focused and able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
