Occupational Health Nurse

Occupational Health Nurse Warrington Full-time, permanent Salary £45,000-£50,000 per annum This is an opportunity for an experienced OHN to move away from a high-volume environment and take genuine ownership of an in-house Occupational Health function, building strong relationships across the site and making a tangible difference to a large workforce. The role will focus on covering management referrals, safety critical medicals, fitness for work assessments and FLT medicals.

A formal Occupational Health qualification is not essential for the right person. The organisation is particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong practical OH experience and the ability to operate effectively & confidently in an in-house setting, rather than focusing solely on academic qualifications.

Experience with in manufacturing, safety-critical environments, health surveillance, fitness-for-work or supporting driver populations would be advantageous (but not essential). Occupational Health Nurse essential requirements:

-Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
-Able to work self sufficiently following induction
-Strong experience carrying out case management
-Experience working as an Occupational Health Nurse
-The successful candidate will be confident in their professional judgement and comfortable professionally challenging managers and stakeholders where necessary. You’ll need to be able to explain and stand behind your OH recommendations, even when they may not be the outcome others were hoping for.
