Business Development Manager – South East

Washroom Controls

THE ROLE

As a Specification Manager for the Southern Home Counties, you will not only maintain and grow a successful customer base of Public Sector and NHS customers but also manage projects with M&E and Main Contractors through to Merchant stockists. You will look to identify and develop a pipeline of larger public sector and commercial and leisure projects via end users and architects.

The project side of your role will involve close networking and relationship building with Architects, Consultants and delivering CPD presentations as well as pitching to Procurement Directors within NHS and commercial venues. Working as part of a close knit and highly successful sales team, you will represent a profitable and forward thinking washroom brand. The position will require you to demonstrate your understanding of specifiers and end users, from tender and brief through to managing contractors through the sales cycle.

Key to success in this role is a proven track record of business development in either a product or service within the KBB sector or experience of selling a product or service to stakeholders in the NHS.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Five years or more in construction sales. Plumbing and Heating knowledge is desirable
  • Proven track record in specification selling within washrooms, kitchens or similar sector
  • A consultative, driven and professional business hunter with good attention to detail
  • Understanding of public sector projects is highly desirable but not essential.
