Role Overview
Trade Counter Assistant / Driver
Hours: 16 per week – Permanent role, 7 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, 8 am to 12 pm on a Saturday rota.
Salary: £27,936 basic salary per year (pro‑rata).
Bonus/OTE: Potential to earn up to £31,536 per year (pro‑rata).

Base: Site based.

- Work closely with Branch Manager and Supervisor in day‑to‑day branch operations.
- Handle trade counter sales, achieving sales targets and confidently communicating product knowledge to customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers.
- Pick, load and deliver products to customers using Eurocell's 3.5‑tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans.
- Plan routes, drive safely and maintain the company vehicle.
- Support the Branch Manager with on‑time, on‑budget actions and activities.
- Comply with health and safety, company policies and procedures.
- Ensure branch standards – warehouse and stock management, front‑of‑house cleanliness, and point‑of‑sale – are maintained.
- Assist with overall branch operations and provide support to colleagues as required.
- Passion and energy for exceptional customer service and business targets.
- Hands‑on, customer‑focused approach, confident in serving and engaging customers.
- Commercial mindset to drive sales and maximise margins while keeping customers satisfied.
- Good organisational skills, prioritisation and initiative.
- Confident IT user with experience in MS Office and industry software such as SAP.
- Full and valid driving licence – a FLT licence is an advantage.
- Prior branch stock‑take experience is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a small team and sometimes alone.
- Experience in a similar trade/ builders merchant / retail / glazing or uPVC environment is an advantage.
