About the Role

Join our team as a Train Driver at Balfour Beatty – Tonbridge Depot. Role within the Multi-Purpose Vehicle & Module Operation (MPVMO) unit, delivering essential shifts for Network Rail.

• Safe driving and control of a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV).
• Deliver relevant equipment to Network Rail infrastructure.
• Report directly to MPV Operations Manager.
• Work in accordance with safety and standard procedures.
• Conduct all pre‑start and disposal safety checks using appropriate checklists.
• Carry out minor maintenance and repairs.
• Report all service faults and failures immediately, in writing and verbally.
• Liaise with 24/7 control regarding delivery issues.
• Make a positive contribution to a small dedicated team working on high‑profile contracts.

• Qualified Train Driver with a good safety record, holding route knowledge on the infrastructure.
• Current clean UK driving licence.
• Understanding of core asset modules.
• Adequate customer relation skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication.

• Complete and up‑to‑date route knowledge of the infrastructure.
• Good awareness of railway health and safety requirements.
• Qualified Train Driver with previous yellow plant experience.
• Computer literate.

• Smart working, flexible start/finish times, up to 40% remote where roles allow.
• 25 days paid annual leave (pro‑rated).
