Healthcare Assistant – Residential and Dementia Care – Tonypandy

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a strong background in caring for individuals with dementia and other health conditions? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to work within residential care settings across the Tonypandy area.

This role offers flexible working hours, including days, nights, and weekends, to support your work-life balance and accommodate your availability.

In this position, you will provide high-quality personal and therapeutic care to residents, supporting their wellbeing and promoting independence. Your duties will include assisting with personal care, using manual handling equipment, implementing care and treatment plans, and offering companionship to residents. Previous experience in a healthcare or social care environment is essential, with a minimum of six months working in care settings.

Experience with manual handling equipment in a live environment is particularly important; training can be provided where necessary.

This Healthcare Assistant role in residential care plays a vital part in enhancing the lives of elderly residents, including those living with dementia. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference, demonstrate excellent caring qualities, and have a strong understanding of safeguarding, CIW standards, and person-centred care.
