Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Meets all qualifications/requirements for Material Handler 1 and can demonstrate proficiency of essential job duties and responsibilities of these roles.
- Accurately reads and understands BOLs provided for incoming material, ensures paperwork is given to the Receiving Coordinator, and places material in its designated area in the yard.
- Ensures material is properly rotated to promote the use of quality materials.
- Transfers material from the yard to the warehouse as needed and ensures proper material is stocked.
- Cleans designated work areas, disposing of debris properly and keeping the floor/ground clear.
- Keeps work area clean, organized, and all material flat‑stacked.
- Ensures all material is stocked.
- Communicates material damage and loss to the Material Handler Lead to ensure inventory accuracy for all discarded materials.
- Assists with warehouse/yard organization.
- Works as a team member to generate new ideas to maximize efficiency of warehouse/yard material staging locations.
- Assists with implementing new concepts and storage locations.
- Consistently meets acceptable attendance and punctuality expectations.
- Completes a daily forklift pre‑inspection sheet.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Is present at workstation wearing personal protection equipment and ready to work at starting time.
- Maintains a tidy work area.
- Other duties as assigned within the reasonable scope of role responsibilities.
