This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. Although paid per inspection, you can expect to earn the equivalent of $30‑$40 per hour
.

Lower volume counties have higher rates, and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set minimum per month, but the work is consistent month‑to‑month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect, or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
