Job Description
Countryside Christian Church (Topeka, Kansas) is seeking a part-time Worship and Tech Director for our church. This is a part-time position with 10-15 hours. In this role, you will lead the worship team and technical volunteers, overseeing the planning and execution of Sunday service to ensure it is engaging, fluid, and impactful. Your leadership will be key to the growth of our worship ministry as you lead people in God-honoring worship.
The mission of Countryside Christian Church is to raise up people to love like Jesus. Our vision is to reach more people in Topeka and the surrounding areas to become loving, knowledgeable, and passionate disciples of Jesus.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Facilitate Worship
- Manage worship and tech teams for Sunday morning worship services.
- Manage details on Planning Center for Sunday morning worship services.
- Manage programs like Lightkey, Ableton Live, and others.
- Lead practice and Sunday morning rehearsals for worship services.
- Lead a recruitment culture. Locate, recruit and retain capable worship leaders & musicians.
- Administration
- Work with pastor on sermon series to allow synchrony with each week’s focus.
- Attend staff meetings as able.
- Plan for special events like, but not limited to, funerals, weddings, and special music for Christmas season.
- Manage worship/tech budget responsibly.
Experienced and capable teacher, leader, and disciple-maker.
Knowledge and Skills- Strong proficiency in vocal and musical ability. Multi-instrumental ability is desired.

- Able to teach others in a Christ-honoring way.
- Able to recruit new band and tech members.
- Committed disciple of Jesus Christ and committed to making disciples.
