Patient Coordinator:
Destination Dental

Topeka, KS | Full-Time

Welcome to Destination Dental! You may still see us listed as Jowett & Lewis Family Dentistry. We're in the middle of a name change, but it's the same great team, same location, and same good vibes. We're looking for a Patient Coordinator who will be the friendly face and the organized brain of our front office.

Who We Are

We work hard, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Here's what we're all about:

  • Having fun. Work is better when you enjoy the people you're with.
  • Being transparent. We're honest with each other and with our patients.
  • Learning from each other. Everyone has something to teach, and we're always growing.
  • Laughing often. Our team laughs together every day.
  • Having fun with our patients. We want them to leave smiling (and maybe even looking forward to their next visit).
  • Delivering excellence. We have a good time while taking great care of people.
About You

You're an experienced dental front office pro who knows how to keep a schedule humming and patients feeling taken care of. You also:

  • Show up, on time and ready to go
  • Have strong integrity and do the right thing, even when no one's watching
  • Support your teammates and pitch in without being asked
  • Have a growth mindset and stay flexible when the day changes (and it will)
  • Can laugh, have fun, and keep things light at work

Experience with dental patient management, insurance eligibility, and collecting payments is a must. Dentrix experience is preferred.

Big plus: If you speak Spanish, we'd love to hear about it! It's not required, but it's a great bonus.

What You'll Do (Not Limited To)
  • Greet and check in patients with a warm welcome
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, and keep the daily schedule full
  • Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Explain treatment plans and out-of-pocket costs
  • Collect payments and manage patient accounts
  • Answer phones and respond to patient questions
  • Keep patient records and paperwork up to date in Dentrix
  • Make recall and reactivation calls to bring patients back in
  • Help new patients with their paperwork and make them feel at home
  • Support the clinical team and keep the front office running smoothly
  • Schedule

Full-time, with a rolling lunch each day:

    • Monday & Thursday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
    • Tuesday & Wednesday: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
    Perks & Benefits
    • Dental coverage for you and your immediate family
    • Paid time off
    • 401(k)
    • Paid holidays
    • No weekends
    • No nights
    • Uniform allowance
    • Fun office t-shirts
    • Coffee, always
    • Free cake on your birthday

Some benefits take effect after a six-month probationary period.
