• Position located in:
  Topeka, KS & Overland Park, KS
• Lead a team of engineers across various companies in manufacturing, fabrication, and machining.
• In charge of hiring, training, and managing a team of engineers and checkers.
• Oversee multiple projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Handling multiple commercial structural steel projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Supervise the structural design process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all contract documents, specifications, and building codes.
• Working with other departments, such as estimating, project management, and production, to support project goals.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes for engineering and detailing.
• Provide roadmap for growth of Engineering department to ensure future capacity.
• Manage project budgets and deadlines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Work with a team of detailers who will build fabrication models and drawings that will be used to fabricate steel members and parts that will be assembled in the field.

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Science required
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of management experience preferred
• Experience with AISC, IBC, OSHA codes preferred
• Experience in RISA 3D preferred
• Experience with Tekla Structures preferred
• General knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferred
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and contract specifications preferred
