Are you ready to advance your career? If so, we have a new and exciting opportunity at Ideatek! As the Operations Lead, you will be responsible for leading and developing the installation team, delivering superior results to our customers.

The individual in this role will work to support our operations in the Topeka region and as we continue to grow in NE KS.

• Provide direction, supervision, and management over the installation and splicing team
• Verify plant data and splice information
• Knowledge of and maintaining splicing schematics and spreadsheets
• Take accurate splicing and field notes to help support project timelines
• Set up and track plant maintenance
• Direction and oversight over drop bury contractors
• Support team members with troubleshooting questions
• Monitor daily status updates and timely route, schedule, and/or assign work in an efficient manner
• Ensure accurate installation specifications/requirements
• Lead trainings and shares updates with the team
• Deliver fiber to the home installations and repairs independently
• Ability to troubleshoot customer connection issues
• Provide an exceptional in-home/business experience to customers by being friendly, patient, efficient as well as knowledgeable of FTTP service, gateways and Wi Fi

• 3+ years experience working as a Technician, Installer, OR in Operations
• General knowledge of telecommunications services, including internet, wireless, and phone systems.
• Leadership experience
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
• Willingness to work in both underground and aerial environments (e.g., climbing ladders up to 32ft and operating a bucket truck).
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Able to enter and safely operate a bucket truck with a weight limit of 300 lbs.
• Successful completion of DOT physical.

• Extensive experience in telecommunications.
• Bachelor’s Degree
