Commercial Loan Assistant – Topeka, KS

Join Equity Bank as a Commercial Loan Assistant. With a team of customer‑service experts, you will build client relationships, deliver banking products, and create a superior service atmosphere.

Job Type: Full‑Time/Hourly

• Process and close commercial loans, providing accurate and detailed support.
• Complete pre‑closing requirements and prepare loan documents in Easy Lender.
• Close loans with Loan Officer, collect any borrower fees, and prepare funding wiring instructions.
• Send required items to be recorded: mortgages, assignment, modifications, SNDA’s, Landlord’s consent, etc.
• Maintain original note for file, send booking documentation to Loan Operations, and prepare Blue/Red Files for post‑closing review.
• Assist in managing Loan Officer’s portfolio, including pre‑underwriting requirements and action planning for exception, delinquency, and maturity lists.
• Monitor compliance with bank laws, regulations, and internal processes.
• Communicate effectively with Loan Officers, Credit Department, Loan Operations, Vendors, and Borrowers.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned or required.

• High School Diploma.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner.
• Computer skills, especially Windows systems.

• 1–3 years of banking experience.

Requires standing, walking, bending, and squatting. Able to carry up to 25 lbs occasionally. Regular office setting with frequent computer use.
