Skill Bridge Paramedic – West Region

American Medical Response (AMR), part of Global Medical Response, is seeking active‑duty U.S. military members to participate in our Skill Bridge Paramedic Fellowship. This program provides up to 180 days of civilian work experience in the medical response industry.

Role:
Paramedic – DOD Skill Bridge program (Multiple Locations in the West Region)

• Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action while following progressive paramedic protocols.
• Utilize paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow paramedics.

• Participate in community programs to maintain GMR image and establish strong community relations.

• Current active‑duty service member.
• Meets DoD Skill Bridge qualifications.
• Available to participate for 90 days.
• Obtain approval from your unit commander and agree that participation can be terminated at any time by the Service if mission requirements dictate.
• Work remotely in the continental U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State driver’s license.
• National or state paramedic certification (as applicable).
• CPR certification.
• PALS certification.
• PHTLS or ITLS certification.
• Pass physical ability test.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
