• Observe and communicate the patient's needs to the Registered Nurse responsible for the patient’s care.
• Intervene to protect the patient and minimize the risk of injury by reorienting the patient, talking to the patient or calling for assistance.
• Stay near the patient's bedside as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Efficiently respond to requests and needs with patient focus.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• Prior work experience in a comparable setting.
• Enrolled in Nursing Assistant or Practical Nursing Program.
