• The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, a part of a rich legacy of compassionate care since 1909, now offers 378 licensed beds, a history of innovation, and strong community support.

• The Medical Social Worker, MSW, provides direct discharge planning services and assistance with psychosocial services for the patient and family.
• Collaborates with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to develop a discharge plan in relation to the patient's health care needs.
• Utilizes broad experience and knowledge of appropriate healthcare resources for patients of all ages.
• Promotes continuity through communication of the patient's plan of care.
• Reports to the Clinical Resource Management Coordinator.

Job Requirements:

• Master of Social Work degree.
• Kansas Licensure at the LMSW level.

Preferred

Job Requirements:

• Two semesters of graduate field experience in healthcare setting for a new graduate or previous experience in healthcare setting for an experienced graduate.
