Job Summary

System One is seeking a senior-level Project Manager for a full‑time, onsite role. The Senior PM will lead cross‑functional teams to plan, execute, and support projects and initiatives that align with strategic business objectives and ongoing operations. Responsibilities include project planning, estimating, implementation, post‑implementation support, and the delivery of business results for one or more strategic initiatives, either single large projects or multiple moderately sized projects concurrently.

Responsibilities
  • Project planning, estimating, prioritizing and directing work to multiple teams and project tracking.
  • Work closely with business functional areas in defining systems/project priorities, high‑level backlog creation, prioritization, approach, and estimate.
  • Execute risk management, issue identification and resolution.
  • Define project scope and objectives, and develop detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
  • Work independently with end‑users and business partners to understand requirements and design solutions.
  • Foster strong working relationships with business customers and the project team to meet expectations regarding scope, schedule and budget.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to ensure tasks complete on time and the project is delivered on schedule.
  • Facilitate project steering and sponsor meetings, including status reports.
  • Manage and report on project implementation, financials and forecasts.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contract requirements for third‑party involvement.
  • Collaborate with IT Solutions Delivery Managers, product owners, business sponsors and team members to resolve complex problems across hardware, software and programming languages.
  • Provide guidance on project delivery, including problem definition, data collection, fact analysis, conclusion drawing and resolution implementation.
  • Participate in implementation and post‑production support of applications.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of project management experience managing cross‑functional initiatives in both Agile and traditional methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree (required) and PMP certification (required).
  • SAFe or CSM Scrum certification or equivalent (preferred);
    Lean Six Sigma knowledge and/or certifications also preferred.
  • Experience with banking and financial systems (operational or IT aspects of the financial sector).
  • Leadership experience as Scrum Master or equivalent project lead.
  • Experience as a Business or System Analyst.
  • Experience managing, mentoring and coaching small teams.
  • Strong multi‑tasking and coordination skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills, with planning and coordination expertise.
  • Fiscal management, budget planning, estimating and reporting experience.
  • Ability to identify project risk and manage it effectively.
  • Strong vendor relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel as required.
  • Experience with implementing financial systems, Microsoft technologies and PPM tools is preferred.
