Responsibilities- Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, responsible for overall shift management and monitoring quality of care for the designated area.
- Serve as liaison to keep the Nurse Manager and House Supervisor apprised of major occurrences and unit needs; provide first‑level supervision, make patient assignments each shift, and offer clinical support to nursing personnel.
- Assist in mentoring new associates, partners, and participate in annual performance review process; perform other duties as assigned.
- Assess patient/family needs, develop and prioritize patient goals, evaluate care delivery, and continually revise the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family.
- Delegate care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adhere to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Nursing License in the State of Kansas.
- 2‑year degree.
- Current Kansas RN licensure.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS certification – unit specific.
- 4‑year degree.
- Preference given to RNs with experience in a similar healthcare setting.
