American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with prior travel experience and a KS or compact RN license for a night-shift position supporting cardiac monitoring patients.

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient population
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (18:45-07:15)
• Floating required to like units within scope as needed
• Weekend rotation required
• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II hospital experience preferred
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, central/PICC/arterial line care, and chest tube management
• Experience with blood product administration, heparin protocols, and procedural sedation monitoring preferred
• Experience with pre/post cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, and sheath removal preferred

• Provide telemetry monitoring and cardiac emergency response care including use of rapid response and code teams
• Receive brief unit orientation prior to floating assignments
• Complete required onboarding modules onsite during orientation
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Former permanent staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• First-time travelers may be considered based on position details
