American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with prior travel experience and at least 2 years of telemetry nursing background for a night shift assignment.
Details- Work in the Telemetry/Cardiac unit of a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
- Floating required to like units within scope as needed
- Weekend shifts required
- Active KS or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
- Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
- Experience with post-cardiac cath, post-MI, and sheath removal preferred
- Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care
- Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response within a Level I/II trauma hospital setting
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted
- Former perm staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
