American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring remote telemetry monitoring experience and a KS or compact RN license.

• General Medical Surgical unit caring for a variety of illnesses and conditions
• Care for stable remote telemetry monitored patients who are not on cardiac drips
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Floating required to like units within scope as needed
• Weekends required

• Active KS or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring preferred
• Experience with skills such as IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access/management, central line blood draws, PICC line management, and peripheral line care preferred
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation preferred
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube care preferred
• Experience with CVA care preferred
• Experience administering heparin and insulin preferred
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac preferred
• Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be considered; locals not accepted
• Former facility staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto approved and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travelers will receive a brief orientation when floating to like units
