Senior Accountant - US Entities (6-month term)
This is a hybrid position in Toronto or Montreal. This is a6-month contract.
Contract
- Hybrid model - up to 4x / week
- Lead monthly closing activities including reconciliations journal entries and financial reporting
- Investigate and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies promptly
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
- Support process improvements and ensure accuracy of financial data across systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow
- Manage and problem-solve transactional accounting activities as needed (AP AR bank recs etc.)
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- We are looking for someone with5 yearsof progressive accounting experience strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close processes
- Proficiency with
Sage Intacctis a must - Advanced MS Excel skills(pivot tables lookups formulas data analysis) are required for this position
- The candidate needs excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams across departments; must be detail-oriented analytical and highly organized
- They should be known for their ability to problem solve and work under pressure with minimal supervision and have to be self-motivated proactive and hands-on
