Senior Staff Accountant – IFG - International Financial Group

Our client, a well‑established and successful public practice firm located in North York, which provides a wide range of accounting services, is looking to add to their team! Due to continuous steady growth and opportunity, they are looking for a full‑time Senior Staff Accountant. This firm offers strong mentorship, long‑term stability, and exposure to diverse client files. The candidate must be able to interact with staff and clients in a positive and professional manner, must be well organized, efficient and have the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant include but not limited to the following;

• Prepare Notice to Reader, Review and Audit Engagement files (ASPE)
• Prepare personal tax returns
• Preparing complex files, tax planning and research
• Work closely with partners and managers, gaining hands‑on exposure and strong learning opportunities
• Provide excellent client service while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;

• 2+ years of experience in public practice accounting
• CPA designated or successfully passed CFE
• Knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, and Profile
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A positive attitude with a desire to grow within a reputable and steadily growing firm
