Position: Production Accountant (12-Month Contract)
Job Description
:
What will you work on?The Production Accountant will report directly to the Director, Production Finance and is responsible for managing the finances for the production companies and maintaining all necessary financial records during production.
This is a 12 Month contract and 4 days per week in office. Opportunity for the contract to be extended or converted.
How will you create impact?Review and post weekly payment run in SMART AccountingReview of weekly payment inputs on the banking platformReview and monitor weekly payments and clear Accounts PayableLiaise with Payroll Coordinator for ACTRA, SAG and DGC Payroll, review and post fringe reports in SMART AccountingReconcile production of bank accounts monthly in SMART AccountingInput and post all monthly journal entries in SMART AccountingPrepare, review, and post all Crew payroll journal entries in SMART AccountingMaintain, prepare, and reconcile production cost report and Trial Balance in SMART AccountingPrepare and maintain Production cashflow schedule and budget variance monthlyFollow internal control process, including cost reports summary and approvalPrepare monthly Production journal entries in SAPSupport quarterly reports and year end auditLiaise and prepare documents for the external parties for Tax credits applications and T2 fillingsComplete additional ad-hoc duties as requiredWhat are your skills and experience?Minimum 3+ years of experience in Production accounting, Cast and Crew payroll and cost report analysisExperience with Smart Accounting, EP Canada software , ACTRA , SAG and DGCKnowledge of CAVCO and Provincial Tax Credit SystemKnowledge of month end financial reportingThis job posting is tied to an open vacancy.
