Residential Property Accountant

Position: Residential Property Accountant Needed
Met Cap Living Management Inc. seeks a motivated Property Accountant for a one-year contract to enhance our accounting team. Focus on residential properties while developing your career in property management accounting.

Candidates should be skilled in the full accounting cycle and will be instrumental in preparing monthly and annual financial reports. A strong background in accounting along with a Bachelor’s degree and a CPA designation will help you thrive in this role, which supports our operations across multiple Canadian provinces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle full accounting cycle for real estate properties

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting packages

• Ensure reconciliation of control accounts and bank statements

• Adhere to established accounting policies consistently

• Coordinate annual budgeting and interdepartmental data collection

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

• CPA designation, or in pursuit of it

• Strong command of Excel; experience with Yardi Voyageur preferred

• Proven time management and prioritization skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
