Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and brings strong analytical thinking, financial accuracy, and operational organization to the team.

In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the agency, helping ensure accurate reporting, smooth financial processes, and timely month‑end close activities. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and VP of Finance across a variety of accounting functions including financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll support, vendor payments, tax filings, and operational finance processes.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing accuracy with efficiency in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Abilities & Skills
  • Strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting processes, including month‑end close, AP, AR, payroll support, and reconciliations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial reporting preparation
  • Working knowledge of Quick Books; experience with Plooto, Dext, Float, and Payment Evolution is considered a strong asset
  • Experience in preparing and analyzing balance sheet reconciliations, aging schedules, and financial variances
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating critical thinking, initiative, and accountability
What we’re looking for
  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation required or close to completion
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an operational finance or accounting function with exposure to full‑cycle accounting
  • Experience supporting month‑end reporting, AP, AR, payroll, and financial reconciliations
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments is considered an asset

Financial Reporting & Month‑End Close
  • Support accurate and timely month‑end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and management reporting materials
  • Track and monitor unearned revenue and related reporting requirements
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Operational Finance
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable and accounts payable aging schedules
  • Support the AP cycle including processing vendor payments and influencer commission payments
  • Assist with expense report preparation and financial documentation management
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation across accounting functions
