Project Accountant

Position: Project Accountant - 6 months
Our Government Affiliated client is looking to hire a Project Accountant to join their Finance team on a 6-month contract. Toronto. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project and operational accounting activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Working in a collaborative environment and partnering with both operational and finance teams to drive accurate financial reporting and decision-making the role will be focused on the following

Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Budgeting & Planning
- Accounts Payable & Commitments
- Operational & Project Accounting
- Additional Responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Qualifications

-   - Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

- CPA designation completed or in progress.

- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

- Experience in project accounting, real estate accounting, or property management accounting is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of IFRS.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- Job requirements are as follows

- Experience with JD Edwards and Hubble is considered an asset.
