Overview
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will support the planning, preparation, and execution of accounting and tax-related tasks across various client engagements. Working closely with fellow staff, senior accountants and managers within the audit team, you will assist Canadian companies with domestic and international operations, as well as foreign companies investing in Canada, contributing to both ongoing and transactional projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation in compliance with accounting standards, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirementsPrepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger with precisionLeverage accounting software and Excel to facilitate reporting, financial analysis, and process improvement initiativesCollaborate effectively with team members on client engagements and internal accounting projectsYour Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.CPA designation.Minimum 2-3 years of related working experience in a firm.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas), Word, and Power Point Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to develop creative solutionsWorking knowledge of accounting or tax software (e.g., Case Ware, Tax Prep) is an assetWhat Richter offers you?
