Student Internship: Accounting at OMERS

Launch your accounting career with an internship s student role encompasses full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation, supporting key business functions.

In this position, you'll participate in a variety of accounting tasks, including month-end and quarter-end closing processes. You will support forecasting and budgeting activities while engaging in global projects across OMERS’ real estate portfolio. Additionally, you'll work on special accounting projects within the Finance and Strategy Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for month-end and quarter-end

• Prepare financial statements for non-consolidated structures

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting efforts

• Contribute to global real estate group projects

• Undertake ad-hoc accounting initiatives

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Business or Accounting degree

• Strong skills in MS Office Suite

• Excellent communication capabilities

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
