This full-time contract position is pivotal in handling the accounts payable for the Association, ensuring accuracy through reconciliation and proper coding. You will assist the Finance Manager with administrative tasks, requiring a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills. The role is suitable for individuals with solid accounting backgrounds and experience in unionized environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable work from various sources
• Verify purchase orders and invoices for accuracy
• Generate payments, including manual cheques and electronic transactions
• Maintain monthly reconciliations of the accounts payable ledger
• Prepare documentation for auditor access
Requirements:
• Diploma in Business Administration with 3-5 years of experience
• Proficient in accounting software (GP Dynamics, Excel)
• Excellent numeric and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and discretion
• Familiarity with non-profit environments is a plus
This role requires effective communication skills to handle confidential information with care and precision.
