Responsibilities- Spearhead system implementations and upgrades.
- Manage Account Payable team of 5+ individuals.
- Guide accounts payable process improvement for key metrics
- Manage high volume of vendor payments within multiple related companies.
- Oversee new vendor setup process, including credit applications.
- Audit invoices for accuracy and thoroughness.
- Ensure proper accounting procedures and controls are enforced.
- Ensure vendor payments are processed accurately and timely.
- Investigate and address, invoice reconciliation issues alongside the AP team.
- Managing monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information
- Training and evaluating employees to enhance their performance and development
- Obtain and review completed vendor setup packages, set-up new vendors and maintain vendor records.
- Prepare/review month-end close process, including monthly accruals, account analysis, reconciliations and various audit schedules.
- Manage vendor relationships, reconciling account activity, timely processing of invoices, payment batches, and responding to inquiries.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, analytics, reconciliations, schedules and projects as needed.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable managerial role in a HIGH volume environment (required)
- Proven experience spearheading system implementations and upgrades
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, high-volume setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional ability to build rapport and partnerships with team members
The posted salary range reflects expected compensation for this role in accordance with Ontario pay transparency requirements. Actual compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications and may fall anywhere within the range.
