Position: General Accountant (General Ledger and Balance Sheet)

Location: Scarborough 5 days IN OFFICE

Salary: $85,, + benefits and bonus

Our client has been a global, renowned leader in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. They have a portfolio of multiple entities, spanning multiple countries.

Seeking a highly skilled General Accountant to manage the general ledger and balance sheet activities, including indirect tax and credit card oversight. Responsibilities will include but to be limited to:

• Own the end-to-end general ledger
• Prepare journal entries (accruals, provisions, reclasses, intercompany)
• Drive the month-end close process with tight timelines
• Own all balance sheet reconciliations, including Credit card clearing accounts
• Ensure reconciliations are complete, accurate, and fully supported
• Review employee expenses for policy compliance and proper documentation
• Prepare and reconcile HST/VAT returns
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Handle FX revaluations and foreign currency transactions

• Bachelor’s Degree and CPA
• 5+ years in General Ledger / financial accounting roles
• Strong experience with month‑end close and reconciliations
• System savvy with solid experience in ERP and Expense systems
• Advanced Excel
