Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 + benefits + discretionary bonus
About The OpportunityA growing North York public accounting firm with a specialized niche in entertainment professionals, high-net-worth individuals, and complex private client structures is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join its expanding team. This is a client‑facing, high‑ownership role where you will manage a diverse portfolio including owner‑managed businesses, investment entities, trusts, and estates, with strong exposure to advisory work.

- Work on complex structures (holdcos, trusts, estates, investment entities)
- High level of client ownership and autonomy
- Strong mix of compliance and advisory exposure
- Hybrid work model after onboarding
- Summer flexibility (reduced Fridays where possible)
- No audit work – 100% tax and compilation focus
- Prepare and review Notice to Reader (NTR) and Review engagements
- Prepare corporate (T2), personal (T1), and trust tax returns
- Manage multiple client files across deadlines and priorities
- Communicate directly with clients on accounting and tax matters
- Support tax planning and advisory discussions
- Assist in mentoring junior staff as needed
- Work with complex structures including holding companies and estates
- Entertainment industry professionals
- High-net-worth individuals and families
- Owner‑managed businesses
- Holding companies and corporate structures
- Real estate and investment entities
- Trusts and estate structures
- CPA designation or near completion (CFE passed or being written in next month)
- 3+ years in Canadian public accounting
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian taxation
- Experience with Case Ware and Tax Prep (or similar)
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment
