Property Accountant – Core

Position: Property Accountant Role – Downtown Core
Join Pen Equity Inc. as a Property Accountant and showcase your skills in the Downtown Core with a hybrid work setup. This role involves financial statement production, tenant support, and account reconciliations.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Accounting, you will be pivotal in the finance team. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing monthly financial statements according to IFRS/ASPE, ensuring all balance sheet accounts are accurate, and handling tenant payments. Additionally, you’ll tackle property budgets and collaborate on special projects, providing a comprehensive accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce financial statements in compliance with regulations

• Maintain balance sheet documentation accuracy

• Prepare budgets and year-end adjustments

• Communicate effectively with tenants and clients

• Enhance accounting processes and internal controls

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance

• 1-3 years of property management accounting experience

• Strong relationship and communication skills

• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities

• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Yardi
