We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional eager to develop their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Support payroll processing and related reconciliations.
- Generate financial reports and assist with budget tracking.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes and controls.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Pursuing or holding a CPA designation.
- Experience with Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Previous experience in public accounting or corporate finance.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance requirements.
- A high degree of accuracy and accountability.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
