Our client is a publicly listed organization with international operations and a lean, collaborative corporate team. They offer accounting professionals the opportunity to gain broad exposure, take on meaningful responsibility, and contribute directly to a growing business.
They are seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting activities. This opportunity is well suited for a CPA candidate or recently designated CPA looking to expand their technical expertise and grow within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Support public company reporting requirements, regulatory filings, and audit processes.
- Prepare working papers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for external reporting and compliance activities.
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month‑end close activities.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records across multiple entities.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, cash management activities, and intercompany transactions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for operational and project‑related activities.
- Assist in enhancing accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting workflows.
- Prepare financial analyses and reporting packages for management decision‑making.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on operational initiatives, special projects, and ad‑hoc requests.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA designation or active pursuit of the designation is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of IFRS or demonstrated ability to learn and apply accounting standards quickly.
- Experience in project‑based, industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, construction, or natural resource sectors is beneficial but not required.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working within multi‑entity environments.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
