Position: Full-Time Accountant
UNICEF Canada seeks a skilled Accountant to support vital financial operations in Toronto. This full-time position offers a chance to make a difference with your accounting expertise.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, this Accountant role involves executing essential accounting tasks such as accounts payable, preparing bank reconciliations, and ensuring timely revenue postings. You will collaborate with the Senior Accountant to resolve discrepancies and assist with monthly and yearly reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process accounts payable invoices accurately

• Support vendor payments through electronic transfers

• Monitor daily bank activities and manage cash transactions

• Prepare essential journal entries for month-end processes

• Assist in audit document preparation and reconciliation tasks

Requirements:

• Two years of relevant accounting experience required

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software

• Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

• Proven ability to work on multiple tasks under deadlines
