** Our Toronto office is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Assurance team with a focus on asset management, including private equity firms, venture capital firms, hedge funds, mutual funds and investment fund managers. This is a new role and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:
* Perform audit engagements on a variety of asset management clients inline with IFRS and ASPE
* Effectively and efficiently handle audit tasks for engagements with multiple elements (i.e. multiple funds) within a team environment, including risk assessment and planning, control testing, substantive audit testing including preparing working papers and analyzing complex accounting issues
* Build positive working relationships with clients and handle all client deliverables and communications in an effective and professional manner
* Effectively communicate with senior team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis
* Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team

** Your experience and education
*** You have completed your CPA designation or are in the process of completion.
* You have 2-3 years of audit experience in the public accounting industry.
* You enjoy working with high growth and dynamic private enterprises and have experience in relation to ASPE files
* You are keen to develop further knowledge about the business, assurance and regulatory requirements of private businesses.
* You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
* You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
** Salary Range:** $62,000 - $96,000 annually
