We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Coordinator to join our client's industrial equipment supply team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting team with a variety of administrative and operational tasks, helping ensure the smooth execution of daily financial activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate records, processing transactions efficiently, and assisting with month-end close and reporting functions.

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This position is offering part time hours on the day shift.

Responsibilities
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payments, and collections assistance
  • Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Review and process expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance
  • Provide support with payroll preparation or coordination, as needed
  • Enter and update financial information within accounting systems
  • Respond to internal and external accounting-related inquiries
  • Assist with audits and compliance requirements
  • Carry out additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (experience in a small to mid-sized organization is an asset)
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting software; familiarity with SPIRE is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
