Senior Financial Reporting & Consolidation Specialist

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite)

Duration: 12-Month Contract with possibility of extension

Our client, a well‑established and growing organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting & Consolidation Specialist to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a designated CPA, CA who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and has a strong background in financial reporting, consolidations, external reporting, and full‑cycle accounting
.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing consolidated financial statements, external reporting packages, and month‑end reporting while partnering with stakeholders across the organization to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Lead the financial consolidation process across multiple legal entities.
• Prepare external financial reporting packages, including MD&A, financial statement notes, and supporting disclosures

• Coordinate quarter‑end and year‑end reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Perform full‑cycle accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activities.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insightful commentary to management.
• Prepare audit working papers and liaise with external auditors throughout quarterly and annual audits.
• Research and interpret accounting standards and assist with the implementation of new accounting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, improve efficiencies, and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance and business partners on reporting initiatives and special projects.

• CPA, CA designation is required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements

• Strong external reporting experience, including preparation of MD&A, financial statement notes, and related disclosures

• Thorough understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
