Accounting Analyst

About Our Client:
Our client, a leading global insurance organization, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join their Finance team. Reporting into Finance, this role focuses on accounts receivable for premiums and accounts payable for claims/losses, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial controls.
Responsibilities   Manage AR (premium collections net of commission), including reconciliations, cash application, and aging.
Process AP for claims/losses, including payments and cash calls.
Post and analyze premiums, commissions, claims, and accruals (IFRS).
Support month‑end/quarter‑end close, reporting, and audits.
Partner with Underwriting, Claims, and Treasury to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Qualifications   3‑5+ years of insurance/reinsurance accounting experience required.
Strong understanding of AR (premiums) and AP (claims/losses) processes.
Knowledge of IFRS and insurance accounting principles.
Advanced Excel; ERP experience (Oracle an asset).
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
