Accounting Analyst

Position: Accounting Analyst Opportunity at Moneris
Elevate your finance career with Moneris as an Accounting Analyst in Toronto, balancing in-office interactions with remote flexibility. Your expertise in accounting principles will be crucial in supporting financial commitments.

This 12-month contract role reports to the Manager of Settlement and Project Accounting. You’ll prepare journal entries, process accounts receivable, and perform reconciliations to ensure compliance with financial regulations. Your ability to meet month-end reporting deadlines will play a key role in managing the organization’s financial resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record accurate journal entries with documentation

• Process invoicing and accounts receivable transactions

• Conduct monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances

• File monthly sales tax returns and maintain financial records

• Support Controller Group activities in financial reporting

Requirements:

• College diploma or degree in Accounting or related field

• 2 years of general accounting experience required

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with journal entries and reconciliations

• Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
