North America Controller at AlayaCare

Elevate financial operations as the North America Controller at Alaya Care in Toronto, overseeing accounting integrity under IFRS. Lead financial reporting while embracing AI tools for efficiency.

In this senior role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of Alaya Care’s financials across Canada and the U.S. Your expertise in IFRS and subscription revenue models is critical as you manage month-end closes and work closely with various teams, including FP&A and external auditors. The position requires strong leadership and the ability to coach the accounting team while driving process improvements through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closes

• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations

• Ensure accurate SaaS revenue recognition under IFRS 15

• Manage indirect tax filings and corporate tax compliance

• Lead annual and interim audit processes for North America

Requirements:

• 6+ years in accounting with 2+ years in a senior role

• CPA designation required (CA or CMA)

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax compliance

• Experience in a SaaS environment preferred

• Leadership and analytical skills essential
