Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant, Staff Accountant, Financial Controller
North Toronto, ON (5 days a week in-office, on the subway line)
$80,000 to $90,000 base salary plus bonus and excellent benefits
Our client is a real estate investment company holding a portfolio of properties across North America. Day-to-day property management is outsourced to third-party property management firms, and our client's finance/accounting team is responsible for consolidating, reviewing, and reporting on the financial results those firms provide, alongside managing the corporate accounting function across the group's entities.
The Senior Accountant will own full-cycle accounting for the entities within the group, including month-end and year-end close, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The role expands into intercompany accounting across the corporate structure, fixed asset and capital cost tracking, and a high-level review role over property-level accounting submitted by outsourced property managers.
This is a strong fit for an experienced, independent accountant who is comfortable owning a full set of books, working across multiple entities and currencies, and building relationships with external property management partners and auditors. You'll have direct visibility with the Controller and leadership, with exposure across the full accounting spectrum.
