Position: Controller Role at Pooch
Take charge as a Financial Controller at Pooch, based in Toronto, Canada. This position involves hands-on management of accounting operations while driving financial analysis and reporting.

Pooch is a pet gear innovator, seeking an experienced controller to lead day-to-day accounting and ensure timely financial reporting. You will support a growing finance team, enhance financial modelling and oversee diligent compliance processes tailored for a dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivables, payables, and payroll activities

• Prepare monthly financial packages and accurate records

• Lead audit, compliance, and covenant reporting tasks

• Directly support and coach accounting team members

• Conduct monthly variance analysis across business units

Requirements:

• 2-3 years’ experience in accounting firms preferred

• CPA in progress or completed is mandatory

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Strong analytical skills in financial modelling

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities
