Position: Mining Industry Assistant Controller Role
Take on the role of Assistant Controller for a Mining company with a hybrid work schedule based in downtown Toronto. This 18-month contract focuses on financial consolidation and reporting compliance.

As the Assistant Controller, you will play an essential role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and regulation adherence. Your responsibilities will include reviewing complex journal entries, analyzing cash flows, and linking with external auditors. Your detail-oriented approach and expertise in IFRS will guide effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive review of business unit accounting

• Prepare support for monthly financial reconciliations

• Assess corporate cash flow trends and concerns

• Drive system changes in Business Objects

• Facilitate training on new accounting standards

Requirements:

• CPA qualification required

• Mining industry background preferred

• Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems

• Strong communication skills across levels

• Critical thinking and ownership in resolving issues
