Finance Team Junior Accountant Role

Join Nexus Energy Inc. as a Junior Accountant in Toronto and support essential accounting operations including financial reporting and reconciliations. This full-time position emphasizes accuracy and analytical skills to enhance financial processes.

As a key member of the Finance & Settlements department, you will handle critical tasks such as bookkeeping, journal entries, and tax filings. Collaborating effectively within a diverse team, you will also assist in month-end and year-end activities, delivering detailed financial statements and analyses. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounts receivable reports and monitor collections

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks

• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

• Compile monthly and quarterly financial statements

• Assist with corporate tax filings, including payroll taxes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline

• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred

• Proficient in Quick Books Online and MS Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
