Who are you?
Our Cost Assurance team has extensive experience conducting cost and commercial audits to review supply chain compliance and performance. Our team combines financial / accounting, commercial, technology and quantity surveying skills to form a targeted and bespoke assurance approach for our clients and their challenges and needs. Cost assurance provides an independent verification of cost that supports construction project governance and ensures adherence to contract.
Job Description
Reviewing construction contractor systems, controls, and processes to provide an assessment on their ways of working, using intelligence from around the industry to build a view on best practice.Analysis and understanding of complex construction contracts.Perform actual cost audits on monthly invoices.Supporting on Payroll Audits.Reviewing financial systems and reporting on the contractors ERP.Performing testing of data and information using smart techniques and tools such as data visualization and trend / pattern analysis – Power Bi/TableauProduction of written findings reports that deliver key findings, recommendations and messages in a succinct and professional manner.Fostering good quality working relationships with clients and those being reviewed built around trust and professionalism.Engaging with the supply chain to take them on the journey of assurance and encourage collaboration at project/program level.Qualifications
3 - 5 years of Audit/Accounting experienceDegree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subjectHolds or working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent (, ACCA, CPA,CFA etc.)Demonstrable experience of delivering service excellence to clients.The ability to extract, interrogate and assess large data sets to problem solve and produce outputs that can be used in the decision-making process.Ability to work autonomously and in fast-paced environment, and able to adapt and meet challenges as they develop during the delivery stage.Assurance or audit - in a construction, commercial or accountancy settingAssessment of accuracy and entitlement to cost.Data analysis – ability to review and draw insights from large quantities of data in various formats – Power Bi/Tableau experience preferredSupporting on report writing – communicating complex messages succinctly to maximize impact in written formats.Additional Information
