Enhance your career as a Senior Advisor in Fixed Assets and Capital Accounting with Alto, shaping the future of transportation in Canada. This hybrid role focuses on accounting expertise, evaluation of project expenditures, and financial reporting.
As a Senior Advisor, you will report to the Manager of Fixed Assets and Capital Accounting while actively developing capital accounting functions. Your responsibilities include preparing technical analyses, supporting audits, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure accurate financial reporting throughout project life cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare technical accounting analyses under Public Sector Accounting Standards
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes
• Participate in external audits, preparing clear documentation
• Develop fixed asset policies and governance frameworks
• Analyze large financial data volumes for accurate reporting
Requirements:
• CPA designation required
• Minimum 7 years in financial reporting or capital accounting
• PSAS or IFRS experience preferred
• Strong skills in technical accounting and financial analysis
• Experience supporting external audits and with ERP systems
