Accounts Payable Specialist

They are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a small Finance team responsible for a broad range of day-to-day AP functions. This role is suited to someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring proper approvals and GL coding

• Process payments including EFTs, wires, and employee expense reports

• Maintain AP aging and ensure timely payments

• Manage vendor setup and respond to vendor/internal inquiries

• Handle Visa/Amex coding and support sales tax filings

• Perform retail tax adjustments as required

• Assist with monthly/quarterly tax filings

• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience

• Basic accounting knowledge

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and ability to manage priorities

• Net Suite experience considered an asset
